The planning of the Bus-Stand is on a hexagonal grid; the hexagon is appropriately scaled to accommodate varied facilities.The Bus stand has seperate entry & exit gates with 10 no.s of alighting & departing bays and 6no.s of waiting bays.Pedestrian movement within the bus-stand has been given greatest priority – with complete segregation of pedestrian & vehicular movement. A barrier free environment is provided for the bus-stand commuters. Public conveniences (ticketing counters, 10 no.s of shops & a canteen) have been provided at the lower level. The community hall has been located on the upper floor. The public spaces as well as enclosed spaces thrive on natural light and ventilation. The rear side of the property is provided with a Mini Depot for the interstate buses with admin offices.
