Construction of Modern Fire Station at Bicholim, Goa – Balance works (2nd Call)

Project highlights

• The Fire Station is a Ground plus 2 RCC structure.
• The Fire Station shall include Administration Offices, a Training Classroom, Conference Room, Library, Museum, Male & Female Dormitories and Officers’ Rest Room. It shall also include health and recreation spaces such as Gymnasium, Recreation Room and TV Room.
• The Fire Station shall have an appliance bay with 4 nos of fire tender parking.
• A four story drill tower for the fire men’s practice drills has been provided along with a hose washing platform for maintenance purposes.
• Roof Top Grid-Tied Poly Crystalline Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant of approx. 45 KWP (Grid connected Net metering system) has been provided to reduce dependence on conventional energy resources with an endeavor to promote sustainable practices.
• It shall have a separate entry and exit for visitors, staff and fire tenders. A 6m fire tender access is provided all around the building.
• A barrier free environment has been provided through an access ramp at the ground level and an elevator for upper levels.
• A connecting bridge on the second floor has been designed to integrate both blocks of the buildings at the upper level.
• An open space shall be provided which can be used as recreation space, flag ceremonies as well as a training ground.
